Dipper the energetic springer

This bundle of energy was a joy to draw, although getting him to sit still for photographs proved to be a pretty big challenge!

I really love his unique markings, his white "dipped" ear is pretty unusual for his breeding. His long furry ears are such an unusual texture and tone, so a lot of layers were needed to pick up the right colours and highlights.

Having spent the last couple of weeks drawing the non conventional pets and farm animals, returning to drawing mans best friend brought me a new perspective on my portraits, which I think is always a good thing.
